I have a voice fax modem that I used for an answering machine on Windows XP.
I recently upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit, and installed the correct driver for my modem. It works fine as a modem and as a fax, but it does not support the voice features any more. Consequently I cannot use it for my answering machine.

I looked up the web and found out that others have similar problems with every Conexant chipset based voice modem, and that the issue is a degradation in the audio support in the Windows 7 modem audio driver.
